Studio Policies/Recital Info

• Registration Fee: There is a $25 registration fee per student ($10 for each additional student). This fee is non-refundable.

• Late Fee: A $10 late fee will be added to all accounts on the 20th of the month if tuition has not been paid .

• Family Discounts : Families will receive a 8% discount for their second child and 12% for third child.

• Tuition is based on class enrollment, not attendance. If you miss 2 classes in a class you are signed up for, you will still get charged for the month. 

• Tuition is ALWAYS the same amount from August through May regardless of the number of classes in the month. Tuition is averaged over the entire dance year.

• BALLET: 

Girls wear pink ballet shoes with pink tights and class color leotard. Hair must be in a PROPER ballet bun.

Boys wear black ballet shoes, black tights/jazz pants and white shirt.

• POINTE: 

Pointe class is taken in pointe shoes (after instructor has awarded you them, as they must be earned) and they must be fitted properly. If you are not yet en pointe but advised to take PrePointe/Pointe,  you will be in your soft ballet shoes with correct leotard and tights. Hair must be in a PROPER ballet bun.

• CONTEMPORARY:

Half shoes with leggings over a leotard or with a tshirt. Hair must be out of the face unless instructed otherwise by the instructor.

• JAZZ: 

Tan jazz shoes purchased from MMDS with leggings over a leotard or with a tshirt. Hair must be secure and out of the face.

• TAP: 

Dancers need black tap shoes. Please have non tie tap shoes for younger dancers, so dancers/teachers spend less time tying shoes. Hair must be secure and out of the face.

Students can wear leggings/sweats with a tshirt or leotard.

• HIP HOP:

Black tennis shoes specified by class. Please contact studio director for specific shoes based on the class. Hair must be secure and out of the face. 

Students can wear leggings/sweats with a tshirt or leotard.

• ACRO:

Leotard with leggings, form fitting athletic shorts, or tights. No baggy clothing.

*Please note that we do not allow dancers to practice/perform in sports bras or in clothes that show their stomach*

• Deadline to Participate

Dancer's must be enrolled by February 1st in order to have a secured spot in our annual recital. If enrolled after, we cannot ensure the possibility of getting the dancer a costume, or that they will be in the entire dance as classes will begin working on them February 1st.

• Costume Pricing

Each class will have a costume/s for each style of dance. The pricing of these will be determined closer to recital time but normally run around $80.

• Recital Fee

For recital, each dancer will have a "recital fee" that must be paid. This fee includes the dancers recital shirt, the extra recital practices, two complimentary family tickets, etc. This fee is $65 per dancer and is due at the beginning of the spring semester and is NON REFUNDABLE.
